Welcome to our Coding & Robotics Course!
Hello student,
We’re thrilled to have you in our Coding & Robotics course! Over the next two years, you’ll explore fun, hands-on activities that introduce computers, simple coding, and playful robotics. You will refine your digital skills, learn about safe software upkeeping, and move into advanced coding and robotics projects.
The first 18 months will build your knowledge step by step, followed by a capstone project showcasing your expertise.
At the end of the programme, you will be presented with a certificate of completion which you can use later in your career.
To get started smoothly, please ensure:
• A laptop (4GB+ RAM, any modern OS) with permission to install new software.
• A stable internet connection for lessons and collaborative tasks.
• A free Scratch account (scratch.mit.edu)—we’ll introduce more coding tools as you progress.
• A micro:bit for robotics practicals (purchased separately), so you can get hands-on experience with sensors and programming.
We look forward to helping you gain confidence in technology and preparing you for more advanced coding down the line!
Please log in to your dashboard and/or visit your mailbox regularly for weekly updates, class activities and important announcements.
Warm regards,
Your Coding & Robotics Team.
